The land issues will not go away , unless we reduce levels of poverty and homelessness. We should also note that in the past land was acquired in ways that were in total disregard of fairness. The consequences are part of what we are experiencing today, stratospheric valuations of land and property. The continued subdivisions of farm land and the housing crisis in urban areas. I concede that resolution of these issue is complex but in the absence of progressive reform this issue is definitely powder keg.

We definitely have land issues that need to be addressed. To simply look at this problem in the prism of the large tracts of land owned by one or a few families is to oversimplify the problem. Put down your partisan blinders and let the National Land Commission deal with this issue.

@alma we agreed RAO and UK will not change Kenya, they are status quo and we need a quantum leap if we are to convert our hawkers and casuals into millionaires. Unfortunately those in power have consistently ensured we have no political parties to talk about. Therefore the void is easily filled by the tribe. Unfortunately, our hawkers and casuals are at the forefront in jumping in the tribal bandwagon. We also create stupid myths against voting with our consciences and brains. The easy one is that if you vote anyone outside RAO and UK you are helping of either of the two. This vicious cycle keeps getting fuel every 5 years. Even God will struggle to help us if we can't be honest with ourselves. This time though Nimeamua, I am voting with a conscience.

Land is certainly a big issue and is one of the reasons UK keeps running, to protect his family's vast empire. RAO on the other hand despite his focused path of wanting equity for every Kenyan has over the past 5 years muddled things and gotten distracted by pursuit of wealth for self and close family. He reminds me of Yoweri Kaguta across the fence.
