And is it fine to own a range rover and your househelp does not have a bicycle?

If I own my Range Rover in a clean non-corrupt way then hakuna chida, but if I still househelp's salo to add up and buy my Range then the story ni kama ya Kamwana.

Election is a game of numbers and in as much as I am not a UK fan, common sense tells you he is winning Mondays election by a noticeable margin. We can granulate about land issues and I know there are serious issues on land from Vanga to Kiunga, the south coast issue is even worse but closer to voi area you have kambas who were given land titles when they were driven away from Tanzania by Nyerere etc. The issues are big and probably make coast a CORD area but suffice to say, the votes from there won't stem the UK tide. Only way CORD will win if they can overdorminate Western.

There shall be a runoff and in the runoff RAO wins. You can then quote me when you do political post mortems when I said that Uhuru lost the election when he decided not to go for the debate before deciding to go for it and consequently not preparing for the question of how much land they own.

That 30k is still trending on twitter and in my local.

@alma land is complex and Kenyans know as much. What concerns people is jobs and income at the moment, granted coastarians have massive gripes to grind on land but that alone will not change numbers. If land was that emotive as you suggest we would be at war. I see you are a student of opinion polls but reality is UK will cross 51%. The pollstars are carrying a massive tracking error which will be exposed next week. Last time RAO struggled to beat MK even before things were tinkered with and RAO was living off the Rift swing vote, imagine when it's even. Please also ignore twitter traffic 98% of the population in Kenya are not on twitter! 2% people typing themselves pale doesn't alter street thinking.

From previous posts, the land issue has its genesis in the Crown Land Ordinance of 1902. The Ordinance gave the crown the right to take over unoccupied land for redistribution. So the question becomes, was it really unoccupied.

From the Grogan post, the people who ended up as squatters are really laborers who were brought in to work on the sisal estate. So can they really claim to be the original owners of the land?

The same can be said for the Nubians who came from Sudan to fight for the British in the 1st world war. They lay claim to Kibra which they were given by the British after the end of the war as a reward for fighting on their side. So why is it right for the Nubians to lay claim to land they were given by the British yet others like Grogan are vilified for purchasing the same. Indeed, who previously occupied Kibra before the British?

Someone commented that before the colonialist African communities practiced inheritance and took over the land where their forefathers were buried. So what happens in the communities where there was communal land tilled by all and the dead where not buried but were left in forests to be eaten by wild animals?

The truth is that individual titles on land were a creation of the British.

The real problem we have is in identifying the genuine squatters. And no one has responded to my question on whether all landless Kenyans (including Kenyans on Twitter) are entitled to land.

@Kausha, after guys went burning others in churches in 2007, I decided never to take land for granted.

I'm a student of opinion polls and that is very true. However, I know what I'm looking for. The problem with the Kenyan ones is that they rely more on personality rather than issues so they end up skewed.

I'm a believer in the ultimate opinion poll which is the election date. That's why I keep my emotions in check in case I go out killing myself. I don't believe in twitter traffic. If I did I'd be selling them something not talking politics.

So with that out of the way, take my word for it. There shall be a runoff, so prepare yourself for that. After that, 30 days anything can happen.

I also pray that someone touches the hearts and minds of Kenyans so they can vote with the only people who can bring real change to Kenya

Dida, Kiyapi, and PK

If you are laughing, just know that even the spirits are laughing when you assume anyone can get 50% on monday.

Very well said, question is... who can correct this anomaly? OAR had 5 years with a tough Olengoh at the helm. What did he do? Nothing! We all heard how OAR came to Kamwana's defense. PK is the way forward, eastlands guy
