@Liv....you got that from your gutter the daily post???

not at all Jaduong.... other more credible sources.... you need to be more digital my friend.

digital without ability to posts something as simple as a link???

No link.... this is info from data analysis....not articles on a website.

Jeez......and that you can't upload???

I have given out what is necessary for information here.

I knew it, thumping a bony chest yet you are zero-digital!!!

Facts won't change. numbers don't lie. If you work harder you can get the same facts.

btw.... can you put evidence/ link here that Uhuru and land issue was trending on tweeter last night?

You wanted evidence or link, I gave you....if you insist.....basi umechinda!!!!!

what I heard from that debate is UK & fam do not appear in the reports of those who own large chunks of land. So who are these other people? kweli ama uwongo?

...you believe that crap?moi family, kenyatta family and kibaki family plus some few others kenyas and wazungus own the largest tracts of land around, kenya is 584000km square that equates to around 14 million acres when.you own as it is said 0.5million acres tell me how you wont be in the list of top ten largest land owners it doesnt add up...del monte have a plantation that is 10000 hectares and is still considered extremely big...its just that they have found ways of hiding the ownership from the general public.

I used an android app to convert 584,000 square kms and got 144 million acres as the size of Kenya. So if the Kenyatta family owns 500,000 acres this translates into 0.5/144 = 0.347% of Kenya.

The largest land owner is the Government of Kenya.

The debate around the land question seems to suggest that if we redistributed 0.347% of Kenya's land mass amongst the landless (sic)/squatters, the land issue would be resolved once and for all!

So what happens to the squatters that are not on the Kenyatta parcels like the Nubians in Kibra, will their issue be resolved by this redistribution?

Like someone said, we should allow the land commission to do its work.

My parting question is how many squatters are there, how are they identified, how much land does each want and are all landless Kenyans entitled to land?

Now what is this, the comments and likes on facebook are not in any way proportional to what will happen next week kwa debe as you are trying to insinuate !!!

I thought you are not ignorant about matters digital.... that you know tweeter and facebook comments keep changing every minute.

you have just displayed how ignorant you are.

@Liv I agree with you that they do change, but what McReggae is trying to say is, much as they change, the earlier ones still exist, you are the one who is clearing displaying digital ignorance here.

"I know there is no way in hell that the Kenyatta family bought 30000 acres of land with cold hard cash in one county called Taveta without being some injustice somewhere. It's just my feeling and I will stick to it."

@alma, do you know why tribalism will be there even three or four generations after us? Your answer right there sums it up. When you don't have factual evidence and you pass on such information to your children, in full confidence, trust me, animosity will always brew.

Surely, where does tribalism come in that statement? Or do you see tribe every time Kenyatta's name is mentioned.

I'll explain to you in plain economic sense.

I find it illogical that one family could have bought 30000 acres of land in one county and call the people who were born and raised in the same land "squatters".

That is only one tract of land. Gone to Mwiki, Githurai, Komarock, Ruai, Thika Road latetly?

Have you talked to the beach owners in the coast province?

You can bury your head if you wish. But even Bill Gates could not have bought all that land in such a short time with no known economic activity other than being the leader of a certain gov't.

But if you know of any business that will allow us to gain such wealth so quickly, this is an investment forum please do share.

Now if you want to call that tribalism, shauri yako. I'm just calling it economics and business 101 and probably one of the reasons we have issues with bwenyenyes and squatters in this country.

That is my view and I need no evidence. The court cases against the family have started and its only time and being realistic that will help us. Not shouting tribe na kuonewa every time this issue is brought up.
