PM's US visit was rather low key. I doubt it was out of choice,- rather, that's what fate handed him.
It didn't help matters that Kikwte was in town too and having it so smooth.
A slap on the face for us!!

@Mcreggae
I actually agree with you that,a certain fellow has been playing us SKrians for some time now.
From the main thread you cant help but read some mischief.
This guy is not for real.
Somebody unmask him/her.

What transpired in the US is something Raila would like to forget asap.
To make up for the poor show in the US,his press service was so quick to wire home the video in which he is seen inspecting a guard of honour from the Iran forces, with the local VP.
Raila has issues.

Things arent always the way they look like

a very practicalAhmmedinajad was recently in kenya and individually presided and pushed over signing of agreements with kenya ministers- why a huge delegation to Iran now?. recall some issue of rao not being fully involved in ahmedinajads visit, maybe was now signing alternative agreements?

and kibaki attending EA issues without the EA minister.

Seriously,I think the sooner kenyans end maintenance of 2 expensive govts, the better. and wako wants now to increase his and other fatcat salaries - in these hard times for taxpayers??

Raila can surely confound. In '07 he was 'the project' of the British and American Embassies. He was their Tsvangirai,a collaborator with the neo colonialists.

'09 - the Star newspaper reports that the same embassies are now disappointed with one of the principals. Obviously it's none other than Raila. Once they have you on their payroll they expect you to sing and dance to all their tunes. Raila has found some of the tunes unpalatable, with 'traitor' written all over them. How do you sell your mother?

The embassies have sensed this and are now looking for new leaders amongst the 'youth' to sponsor in 2012. They want to ditch Raila and finance alternative leadership and who better than the naive youth (e.g. Marskenya) who don't know what imperialism means and who will carry out all their instructions for a few pennies.

Obama is basically continuing Bush's oppressive policies. This is what has made Raila follow his boss, and start courting Ahmedinejad and America's other enemies. Incidentally Kibaki is loathed by the imperialists for refusing to be their stooge. Who knows maybe Raila will visit Venezuela and North Korea next. Kudos to Raila for seeing the light and ditching these slave drivers and plantation owners. Thanks on behalf of Kenyans.

The man he thinks he can,and the one who thinks he can't are both right. Which one are you?

@stockyt - I agree. We are running 2 gavas in one. Every government function is either attended by all ODM ministers and an insignificant PNU MP or all PNU ministers with an inconsequential ODM member.

This thing will be our undoing. A house divided will never ever stand. We need elections ASAP,get whichever idiot is going to win (I am hoping for none of the current crop) then have someone we can hold to account.

It really pained me when I heard TZ recorded 7+% GDP growth. Meanwhile, here we are in Kenya discussing how we are going to cancel the Coca Cola/Nyayo deal for the sake of national pride. I will tell you what national pride is; it is recording decent growth that we can unashamedly flaunt to our neighbours. That is national pride!

This illusion we continue to have on Kenya being the largest economy in the region is about to come to a screeching halt.

I foresee Tanzanians giving us the 'I told you' speech and gleefully talking down our aggressively capitalist society.

Damn!
