A trend among prophets was that with any prophesized calamity, there was/is always an exit.

It was finished & a relief to him because his duty was fulfilled in a second tier;

EZEKIEL 3:18 - When I say to a wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for a his sin, and I
will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do
warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his
wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

1st TIER : He passed on the warning to kenyans about what he had sseen in the 2013 elections (violence).
And the exit was to repent as a nation before the Lord together with the leaders. So by the warning he was vindicted by his warning.

2nd TIER : The "exit" clause was obeyed when Kenyans & its leaders repented in public before the Lord. So the Lord will avert he calamity as He had promised.
So the prophet was happy it was finished as the two tiers went the way the Lord had said will not brong calamity.
