Didnt think the water shortage in Eastlands area was that serious until i boarded a matatu no. 58 jana and the stench from the armpits(vikwapa) and the private parts(sehemu nyeti) nearly made me puke,no pun intended but the gava has to to something seriously,i politely asked one jamaa if he smelt anything of the sort,but silently he whispered ni shida ya maji woiyee poleni

i will not tell you where i stay but the bag of tricks my landlord has has ensured our flats 64 of them... have water... as in maji ya mtungi,natumia once fortnightly...

the issue is a real estate one...

my mdosi (earning over 250 k stays in buru) siku hizi; gari yake mitungi hata akienda business meeting. but benefit zake buru ni 3 br... sq... space... cons... jam... insecurity.. na sasa maji...

for similar rent nakaa langata (64 apts)... earning much less... kila mwezi .. equal rent na ya mdosi wangu kwa mganga (land lord)... lakini nyumba... 1 br...vs...3 br buru... jam and insecurity factor 0.5 x eastlands...

Go to eastlands pubs at your own risk. I have been told by so many guys that people are lalishwad on the floor daily and robbed of their shoes,phones and wallets by young teenage thugs armed to teeth.
