....Sunday - KPLC outage (testing one two three...) Monday - Safaricom outage (testing one two three). Kenya Communications Act...National Security.....fingers ready on the switch ready for Thursday when Ocampo arrives? Media blackout + largest mobile network?

Too much of a coincidence?

@njunge...niko pale pale! I think its too much of a coincidence that we had that outage and then a mobile network outage...to eerie. If it happens again this week,no one will link it to any one event and simply put it down to a recurrence when in actual fact the objective might be to keep people in the dark - literally and figuratively...stranger things have been known to happen. Lets agree on one thing - there is 'us' and there is 'them' - pre 2007 there was ODM,PNU,ODM-K,etc....now its four legs good,two legs better and snowball and napoleon are quaffing drinks with the other farmers...

I'm not holding my breath when it comes to Ocampo...the Hague has waved a big stick only in states where there are 1) western interests (diamonds,oil - Sudan/Chad/Liberia) 2) where there are governments that do not bend to the whims of the west)... so the Hague is another tool for 'democratic transition' - one of many fronts they can use (CIA,trade sanctions,etc)...

@Djinn,
The West considers Kenya a strategic country besides being the gateway to East and Central Africa.I remember a senior US official declaring that Kenya is too important to be left to the dogs.We aren't in the same league as Somali........IMHO,Ocampo will not be coming for a cup of coffee.He is coming to borrow heads......Witness how the animals are running around,frantically looking for a common stand ahead of 6th.......Hmmm!!..
