The fact of the matter is CJ by politicizing such a Key constitutional office has brought himself and that office into disrepute. The style he carried out that attack on Kimemia reminds me of how particularly female office bullies carry out their wars by mixing issues with non-issues and politicizing anything, i have been a victim. There is a very strong "lady-like" vendatta, "i am so frightened of (useless)mungiki letter" element in this saga, makes me wonder if the "kipuli" is a gift from renown "plugged" sympathizer "the irritant" we talk about here. Who has never received a veiled death threat? I have and know what to do with them. He should resign to return the kind of honor the CJ office deserves not act like his former deputy.

Ita an obvious fact that all state officers must seek clearance from OP for any international travel, CJ included. The immigration officer deserves a medal for teaching CJ a few lessons from Civil servant code of conduct 101.

Quote the constitution or act that says so.....and it's obvious it wasn't the 1st time he was travelling out of the country!!!!

I have previously worked as a civil servant so i know it first hand.

This is why pple fail exams.Quote the specific constitutional/statutory provision or Circular referring to the above.Unless you either blindly live in the Kanu error or want to dig out old laws which suit your cause.

I am with @a4architect on this one. I've also previously worked as a civil servant and during our time you needed a letter of approval to travel from the PS/Minister to get you through immigration at the airport.

Let us conclude that the CJ is not a civil servant. Whom does he serve? Himself?
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Are Jubilee people here accepting that Kimemia and the state are working at the behest of Kamwana.....through all the posts in this thread, I have not accused Jubilee as being responsible.......THE GULTY ARE VERY AFRAID!!!

The quoted circular Circular no.OP/CAB.8/19A is not dated today so when he intimates that its specifically designed to intimidate him its wrong.

..even the circular quoted has nothing to do with CJ's travel, he simply said the officer tried to use it wrongly!!!

Si unyamaze. You tried your best to explain lakini hawa skizi. I don't know why jubileans have gone into full defence mode and yet no one has accused them. By the way maybe I am ignorant but what do we mean by a "Fully independent Judiciary"

Though i totally support the CJ I feel he could have put this issues across in a better way. He should have factored the 'political economy'to avoid either side taking advantage. Remember he has to be ready to work with whomever wins and might even have to give the casting ballot at a crucial presidential petition

Just like Ceasars wife he should be above reproach
I may be wrong..but then I could be right

[quote=a4architect.com]@keraka..Circular no.OP/CAB.8/19A now find out from Immigration what its contents are.

Here it is

Thanks @a4architect read the chapter on supremacy of the constitution and bill of rights and get to note that any law or act of mischief like this one which contradicts the constitution is as useless as that law itself to the extent of the inconsistency.
Wait a minute the CJ has been travelling allover without seeking that authority.why now>N why apologise?
Ati Kajwang runs Immigration. Can he even sack or transfer a junior clerk in the ministry.Know pple mutongoria.

Next time the Honorable CJ will receive those" you have won 1 Million Kshs" and he will claim someone is out to bribe him to divert the course of Justice! That letter is a joke and does not deserve anyone's response. Those are the kind of letters which if you receive, you tell the guys to come immediately for the head and that is the last time you hear of them. He is lucky he has a security detail as plan B.

@Keraka..a very simple issue has now been overblown into proportion. This is exactly what happened to deputy CJ.
From the circular, its understandable for the imigration officer to imagine that the CJ is among the high dignitaries who have to clear with him every time they travel. From the way the circular is drafted, so as to ensure public saves on funds and govt bodies are cordinated well, we can understand why the imigration officer acted that way. Its up to the next parliament to ammend the circular to also include the Judiciary if they so wish.
