I am not sure if anyone on SK has has had any problems with spares bought from a certain dealer - I'll not disclose the name yet but I have had THREE incidents where the spares are of proven dubious quality 1)Window winder mechanism - installed and got f***ed up a few days later 2) Release Bearing (which involved removal of the entire engine in order to replace) - got f***ed 3 weeks later 3) Timing cover + seal - started leaking within 48 hours of replacement.....

The parts were indicated as genuine and marked as 1) Automotor (winder mechanism) - cost Kshs 1300,2) Sasic (release bearing) Cost Kshs 1500 and I think 3) Valeo (timing cover) cost Kshs 1900.

Does anyone have similar complaints? I have been in contact with KEBS who have asked that I take the parts to their lab on Mombasa Road. Anyone else who might have wondered why some parts they have recently replaced have failed?

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less
