Here we go again.... looking at statements in isolation.

I am not saying that it is the most important factor. That would be plain stupid of me!

I am saying that it is a consideration. To remove it completely is quite naive.

I am quite sure that Kibaki and the people of Gichugu thought about her marital status and concluded that her other qualities far outweigh the unmarried status.

Have you considered going into politics? You have mastered the art of double speak to a T.

Of course that naturally depends on whether Mrs. Mukiha will allow you.

You are right; I would never make such a huge decision without consulting her! And if she wasn't OK with it I wouldn't go ahead.

Any man who would take such a huge step without consulting his wife is, in my view, a complete and total idiot!

My, My, My. You are actually going into politics and you are using The Virtual Republic of Wazua as a test run.

Well. Best of wishes. Piece of unsolicited advice though, don't run in Kirinyaga. Hen pecked in Gigikuyu is, to put it mildly, a very crude handle.

For some reason, this thread is still on. what is there to discuss about marital status and Ascension to higher office of leadership? What a waste?
