Nobody's perfect.

So here is my honest view of what is wrong with each of the candidates running for president of the republic of Kenya. I put them in alphabetical order of their popular names:

1.Dida: Completely green. Doesn’t have a clue of how to run a government. He is in the race for self entertainment!

2.Kiyapi: Technocrat who doesn’t appreciate the finer points of political balancing acts.

3.Mather Karua: Not married; I believe that marriage has a way of moderating a person’s character...whenever I do things, I find myself considering whether my actions will embarrass my wife.

4.Mudavadi: He doesn’t seem to know of what to do if he becomes president. His "safe pair of hands" slogan reminds me of people who tell you "trust me" - they are always the untrustworthy kind!

5.Muite: Too legalistic in my view. Thinks he can solve all problems using just the law!

6.Peter Kenneth: Idealistic – thinks he can replicate what he did in Gatanga on a national scale; but the nation is a much more complicated matter and he doesn’t seem to appreciate that.

7.Raila: Easily swayed by crowds [remember the “Kibaki anatosho” proclamation made only 16 hours after signing a coalition agreement with Nyachae?]. I can’t trust him to make thoughtful decisions.

8.Uhuru: Easily swayed by his close associates [remember the shetanis that told him to give way for Mudavadi?]. He is not “his own man”. I can’t trust him to make independent decisions.

Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

This is a very retrogressive comment to make.To judge someone just based on if there is a man by her side is very flawed thinking. It is as if the objective of a woman is to be with a man. Things have changed my friend.

You know what i find very hard to understand is how people use this against any woman who is single but never against a man. We all know there are people who are basically surviving in their marriage;just because some women (and men) have the huge balls to walk away from unions that are not functional is no judgement on how well they can execute their duties.

Having said that,i need to say that i do not think any more of a married woman than i do of a single woman- to me,that is a status issue, which is ticked as either married or single, the rest is just bullshit.

Are there any men out there who share the same feeling like i do?

DNA bado ni TNA but i have to stand for Hon. Martha all the women out their - i believe women in my life will be happy if they know i have this stand smile
I am happy

Kenyan men mentality.Pity.

Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, divorced mother of four boys and grandmother to six children is Liberia's first elected female president, as well as the first elected female leader on the continent.

How abt Condoleeza Rice? she is not married.
Yet she has accomplished more than her married counterparts.
Let's become Digital in our thinking at least for once.

So we shouldn't vote for widows/widowers/divorcees etc etc because? the polygamous ones are much better?

Mr. Mukiha, perhaps you could have started by giving letting us know why you deserve any better lot of candidates than those that have presented themselves.

This is because if you are going to, for example, base rating on marital status for Hon. Martha Karua, then you should have, in my humble opinion, also mentioned the fact that Mwalimu Adidas is over married. To three ladies in fact.

To para phrase your title to this thread, What is WRONG with the Voters (Mukiha)?

As Mukiha has just pointed it outmarital status still holds sway in conservative society like ours. But i like the way she countered it by saying shes a grandmother and then proceeding to hug wajukuu at the end of the debate.
Her main 'fault' is shes too emotional hence can be vindictive, ruthless
I may be wrong..but then I could be right

People see only what they want to see. So I will repeat the part about Mather Karua that @Amores, @aemathenge, and @essyk and REFUSED to see:

"....whenever I do things, I find myself considering whether my actions will embarrass my wife."

Please re-read that part three times over before you accuse me of looking down on women.
