I have followed all this discussion and I knew Museveni would win the argument.

consider this.

He asked our journalist 'Is Jaluo an insult'?

He castigated our parliament for running to a mzungu to ask for nonsensical help.

He said he was not talking about migingo but Suba Island. We should have checked the facts

The reason we want to fight Uganda which is also the cause of our fights is that we have majority of us making decisions emotionally rather than logically. I support Museveni on this

@ Petro,I agree with you. We need to check facts.

Could you perhaps lead the way by checking basic about Suba (and Migingo)?

I for one believe that a strong Eastern African community (forget the machinations of the likes of M7) would be a blessing for all of us.

@Spendthrift,

I see you got me wrong. May be you engaged the emotional gear. May be not,lets hope so.

Please do not introduce a tribal angle in this post. You should have noted I never contribute to tribal posts. In my career,I have worked more with luos than any other tribe. They have helped me up the ladder and I found myself helping them up too. Sorry,I meant Kenyans who happened to have been born in Nyanza.

My post was against our reaction as a country especially our leaders not about Nyanza.

But if you insist of introducing that angle. I will be the first to as SK to delete the post.

Pleaseeeeeee!!!!,Do not call me a tribal bigot. Nasikia kama umenindunga mkuki.

@ Petro,

I take back my words. At least the ones that may have made you feel like you have been speared. I'm sorry I misunderstood you.

On the important issue,I still think that M7 did not speak sense. Matters of teriritory he knows,that Migingo is in Kenya. I know there are issues on that lake and the fish resources,but M7 approach of manipulation and provocation was anything but sensible.

His parlance,singling out a Kenyan ethnic group and his inclusion of 'mad'is a reserve of commoners,not a state figure like him. How to strengthen the EAC if such utternances by a head of state are just days after him meeting Kibaki in Arusha.

Was the utterance directed to the president,Kenyans?

I agree with spendthrift only to the extend that as a head of state Museveni should be more careful with his choice of words and tone.

But largely Museveni had a point.
And why are we so conveniently forgetting the posturing of such activist as Orengo and his loose tongue too.
The uprooting of the railway line impacted negatively to Ugandas economy,- we seem to pooh pooh that too.

Thats unfair.

Museveni may have erred but only after we wronged him big time.

Only after we get to hear the whole address by Museveni in Dar can we make an informed opinion.
Sure enough there was mention of another Island over which he said something to the effect that ommediately after that,the boudary line shall run straight..............
Lets me objective and discard emotions.
@Petro
I agree to a great extent, not entirely.

Kenyan milk made me stop taking soda - Yoweri Museveni

He told members of the East Africa Legislative Assembly that free movement of goods in East Africa region will strengthen integration.

Museveni wrote:
In 1965, Kenyans liberated me from Coca-Cola. The beverage was the only decent drink one would find then. One day, I came across packed milk, KCC, from Kenya. I stopped drinking Coca-Cola but also began contributing to the prosperity of Kenyan farmers by consuming their milk,
