Rank: Elder Joined: 6/17/2008 Posts: 23,365 Location: Nairobi		..STATEMENT FROM IEBC CHAIRPERSON 10th February 2013 Mr. Francis Munywoki Operations Director The Presidential Debates 2013 Nairobi Dear Sir, RE, INVITATION TO THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE The Commission has learnt that there is a likelihood that not all Presidential candidates for the 4th March 2013 elections have been invited to the Presidential debates scheduled for 11th February 2013. The Commission held nominations for all the Presidential candidates on 29th and 30th January 2013. All had and do meet all the legal requirements to contest the elections as Presidential candidates. They are co-equal in the eyes and estimation of the Commission. This is to inform you that the Commission regards such exclusion as inequitable and undesirable in the circumstances. We are not privy to the organisation of the event but we do advise that careful thought should be given to our observation.
