in the 1960's, the collonial powers did all in there power to shunt aside Jomo kenyatta, whom they percieved to be a communist. the same strategy was succesfully employed against jaramogi odinga. a more lethal version was employed agaist Patrice Lumumba of Zaire.

the superpowers have had a history of taking care of there interests all over the world. that is why they have always turned a blind eye to poor governance and human rights abuse in places like uganda, saudi arabia et al.

mwai kibaki has caused ripples in the capitalist world by turning to the EAST. he is now paying the price right now: western powers have prevailed upon the UN to delay re imbersements of funds used in the somali war...some people are quitely campaigning to have KDF investigated fo war crimes in somalia....military aid ha been suspnded...and more screws are in the works awaiting to be tightened....

thought oAR is more of a communist than uhuru with his land redistribution agendas? actually there are very many whites with large chunks of land in the country more than Uhuru. The KDF won the war and that's the bottom line.

@Murenj, your post doesn't explain at all how the Uhuru/Ruto presidency might not materialize, besides losing fair and square to another coalition. There are 20 days left to the showdown!

Reminds me of those small pieces of paper that used to be distributed to passengers in a bus on the way to Western and Nyanza. They would have a very catchy summary of the "news". You would thus gladly buy the paper only to find nothing connected to do with the headline

Lets give them the middle finger and turn to the East for Business and Opportunities. If anything Mugabe did the same.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
