Qn. 5 Does you house have piped water?

An. My house has the plumbing pipework done but no water in it,only air blows in the pipes.

Qn. 6 Do you have electricity in the house?

An. No. Atleast not now. I might be lucky tomorrow.

Enjoy the census! Heck. I cannot remember the last time I headed home at 6 pm.

Let us guess how many Kenyans there are. The bureau of statistics puts it at 40 million.

Am guessing 34 million kenyans with 1.5 million foriegners.

I'm still surprised that in 2019 they are still asking about the electronics and cows we own and there was nothing about individual/family medical cover. Where should the priority be???

BBI will solve it

medical cover is still small and that data is easily available to the government from the insurance companies and nhif, tracking electronics or cows is imposible, thus the questions.

No, the data is not available in relation to households. The data on ID and others are also available. But you need hard data to enable external charitable funding, where to invest more in hospitals, equipment personnel and proper allocation in the national budget.

The govt knows where all the hospitals and dispensaries are. And the budget for these health facilities. And all those covered by NHIF. So for govt planners, private medical cover is an AOB, a personal luxury thats beyond their interest.
