Lets not bow to their demands then we'll see if they will not buy our flowers coffee and now oil. The more they talk the more people are getting the morale of voting in the Hague brothers.

They should instead encourage us and offer support of a smooth transition which we are all bound to benefit, regardless of who becomes president. A smooth election will take Kenya to places Africa has never known before....lets stay focused keep our country's star shining

We all know once supply is cut prices go up...that is not sustainable for them esp now that their economies are in the gutter.

An Alternative view to the potential "consequences" of electing a certain president

If we look around, most African, Asian and middle east countries with proven mineral and oil deposits are ungovernable.

Insecurity, political instability, significant socioeconomic imbalance, a marginalized economy, a dysfunctional state etc. are some of the features of these countries.

With the recent oil exploration in Kenya and confirmed deposits of coal and iron ore, we were quick to announce to the world of our findings. It is therefore a fact that mining is expected to be a major economic driver in Kenya in the near future.

It is possible that some dark forces somewhere wouldn't mind to have a destabilized Kenya so that the formal channels for managing these resources are rendered dysfunctional or even totally destroyed.

That would mean creating the ground to offer sanctions and whatever else would destabilize the country. So having a president with internationally tattered credentials would be the perfect recipe for this scenario.

Is this a phantom thought or a potential reality?

Sounds twisted but anything is possible in the wicked plans of men especially white people. But:-

Most of those deposits of minerals are being mined by foreign companies. We do not know the deal the government struck with these companies as to sharing of profits. Usually, the companies take most of the profits and it would be in their interest to maintain peace.

I doubt they would deliberately destabilize the Kenyan economy or the peace in Kenya. One, the Kenyan economy is non-existent since we are deep in debt. The economy is aid money from those who are meant to destabilize us.

And, Kenya serves the strategic interest of most of these countries since we are one of the "islands of peace" compared to most of our neighbors. 2007 demonstrated that the international community cannot let Kenya burn to the ground unlike a country like Rwanda in 1994.

Greed is fear.
