Ah, the voter stuck in the past...one day you will realise its the individual, not the party...

Carry on, Lions Eye Camp will soon be able to assist the "politically" blind.

You will be the one to realise the importance of political parties especially with the current constitution.

Both the individual and the party will have to change.

The old idea of the party is that of a power securing system. But with both devolution and globalization running together, the party must be a network facilitator. That is, party structure will have a data scientist, and other IT experts.

A successful governor in this case, needs a carefully crafted and run system to fulfill the constitutional requirements.

The politician's role then becomes of human resource stewardship.

And so any candidate can be a successful governor.

Eish! @tycho sijaelewa.

Votes will be found in networks with running programs.

This is because devolution and globalization is possible only in a highly networked society.

So parties will be entrepreneurial entities designed to create and work with market networks.

So the governor needs a technical team that works on network interactions, while he motivates, interprets and represents the networks in political events.

Governor hasaidii national gvt to be powerful. MP, Seneta n Women rep do.

A successful county govt means credit to the national govt of the day. The national govt can also have some of its policies implemented by the gabana. But with the envisaged independence from undue influence by the national govt, a rogue gabana may outrightly reject such proposals, thereby weakening the national govt. Say, an Uncoperative Kidero may give UK a hard time in developing Nairobi etc..

I agree. With devolution, power and accountability are brought closer to the roots and with technology coordination can be made easier on multiple levels.Don't you think the more experts and support a governor gets will determine if he remains transparent?

That is, the more entrepreneurial activity is globally competitive, and the more the governor is connected to the market structures, the greater the efficiency and transparency.

He was not entirely wrong. Nairobi Governor was to be called a Mayor anyway.

What matters is how to win functions come later.Remember we gave Mbaru some tactics on another thread but he ignored them and lost the nominations.

Some news from Twitter:

Waititu, apparently punched a guy today outside Galexon hotel as he and Sonko were meeting women groups. #Choice2013

So Waititu own water bousers which he use to deliver water to Nairobi residents. #EvansKidero say he might not want reforms in that sector

RT @MutahiNgunyi: I must add: Waititu will be a rocking chair. He will keep us busy; take us nowhere. I am told he was an unsuccessful bank manager. True?
