Liverpool have been thrust into a worldwide match-fixing scandal, with reports emerging Europol are investigating Hungarian side Debrecen after a 2009 Champions League clash.

Kumbe this is how comes they did so well in Champion's League and couldn't hack the domestic league. Shame!

I doubt they'll get out of Division One if they were done a Juventus.

Liverpool are not directly involved in the scandal. It is the no-name-team they played.

If the investigations were about Liverpool vs Ac Milan final,then we could say Liverpool benefited but on the latest, Liverpool nikaa pamba.

Doubt this. Liverfool last did well in UCL in 2006. Since then it has been a slump. UEFA/PLATINI and i guess Blatter at the back of the stage had better give facts. Their hate of anything British (some think it is English) clubs/football is a well documented fact.

Disclaimer: i am not a Liverfool fan.

That ref, Ovrebo, embarrassed the entire soccer world......However, its difficult to say whether he had been compromised or it was an act of sheer incompetence coupled with stage fright.
