Sadness is the permutation for happiness. That's what I think about desires. If you get what you want you are happy,albeit short lived and your off chasing another desire.If you don't get what you want,you are sad.So how do you handle the tag of war caused by desires? Desire, comes because something is being needed by the self. But the Self can only lack because it is not as it should be. For the self has everything. So desire is like exile or captivity. Yes even the slave has moments of laughter, but is pleasure, happiness? Yet desire is painful. Even the desire for wisdom is painful. I believe enlightenment is sweet.Hope I reach there while still on earth. The desire for wisdom is painful but it's addictive. Uncertainty is certain.Let go
