It takes all kinds to make up the planet .Never give up on a good thing because of a few misguided souls who have allowed ignorance to be the guide to their pathway through life. The other day I attended a conference in one of the five star hotels in town. After a sumptuous gourmet meal,I noticed with concern that the left-overs (which was much) is put together in a bin and thrown away as refuse. I wondered why,with so many dying of hunger,such food was not donated to children's homes,schools or other deserving situations. Turns out that the past has informed such action. See,a few ingrates turn such noble gestures into profiteering opportunities.From selling such food to sueing for the quality to demand compensation from hotels etc. My point is that there will always be people out there hellbent on turning everything good into bad. The heartening thing is that they can't stop,won't stop,don't stop and shouldn't stop,those who do good. Do some good today.

oooh...hurt?...poor thing! as a doctor,they must have TRAINED you how to handle such scenarios in med school. looks like you have not travelled at all. in places like russia,skin heads armed with rifles are hunting down black people like animals. in some european countries,the whites cannot sit with you at the same table in hotels or trains. you get called names like monkey or nigger in parts of germany and scotland. in uk,the local blacks also called afro-caribbeans are busy killing and hating africans apparently coz we are stealing their jobs and houses! my friends and i once toured geneva switzerland on student's trip and when we dipped in a hotel swimming pool,every one got out and left,so as not to share the same pool with blacks! well,just how insulting is that? true,your patient may have been a tribalist,but as a trained doc,you should have developed shock absorbers by now to deal with such bigotry. at least you never got kicked,stabbed or hurled explicit curse words. get off your warm cocoon and welcome to the real world.
