Congratulations to the girls.

On a wider note, are overage players still being fielded in the secondary school games? While the excesses of St. Austins and Jafferies were checked, others continued to field non students by virtue of their principals being honchos of NSSSA. How is it nowadays?

Some schools still get away with non students and ineligible players. There is now a rule that only players under 19 can play. But its difficult to enforce. Last years St Anthonys won the boys football tournament with some players who had finished form 4 two years earlier. That flouts 2 rules.

Plus fielding over age players takes chances away from deserrving students.

On a positive note, UNICEF talent development centres have taken root. They still have a long way to go before they can start producing good players consistently.
