What would your price estimates of silver for the next ten years be if you were to look at the crystal ball??
Please weka email address and I will explain the scenario further.

Thanks.

There's nothing like a market crystal ball otherwise it would be on sale at very inflated prices and its maker would be dead by now...

Check this out - http://www.silverdoctors...-isolation-of-usdollar/

Been following the accumulation of silver and gold by the Asians, which is tying in with the current ASEAN trade policy. Currency war is now on full scale!

This is one issue thats been on my mind since last year. How do you see it play out?

Central banks are now net gold buyers esp BRICs and Asia! Obviously before the ponzi fiat currency masters get knocked out, they'll try to suppress the prices as much as possible.

It's getting interesting. Some things there I didn't expect or know. The problem I had with holding currencies is that none of them can withstand the windfall coming. Problem with Kenya is supply of gold and silver. Surprisingly,I'm more for silver than for gold.I also think recycling will start to become mainstream as people and organizations start scavenging the metals in them.

Some proponents of economic integration in North America have maintained that the emergence of China and India in the global marketplace may be putting North America at a competitive disadvantage with other countries and that NAFTA should go beyond a free trade agreement.
Some observers have written policy papers proposing that the U.S. government consider the possibility of forming a “NAFTA-Plus,” a “North American Union,” or even a common currency
called the “Amero.”11
Critics of this level of economic integration believe that NAFTA has
already gone too far and that it has harmed the U.S. economy and undermined democratic control of domestic policy-making.12
Others suggest that the SPP may be more than an initiative to
increase cooperation and that it could lead to the creation of a common market or economic union in North America.13
However, as previously noted, if the United States were to potentially consider the formation of a customs union or common market with its North American neighbors, it would require approval by the U.S. Congress.

We have the BRIC wanting to form their own currency or bank. China wants a seat in the global currency reserve.

MSFT topped out after a huge parabolic run back in 1999. AAPL is no different and worse many hedge funds are on the buy side. Extreme one-sided sentiments never end well. As long as AAPL can't compete with its rivals in the 3rd world where phone sales are on a parabolic run, all the best to them with their overpricing model.

I agree Samsung has undercut them. Apple is expensive in so many aspects. I don't even like their battery strategy. It just forces you to go back to them. Two developing for apple is expensive. Samsung and with android is very advantageous. Plus they're also developing high-end products. What I want to see is how Nokia will counter them with Windows phones

So, let me get this right.

1. It finished the year with the highest profits worldwidr.

2. $13.1 billion + $123.9 billion in reserves.

3. Iphone sales increased by 29% while ipad sales increased by 49% compared to last years quarter.

4. Competitors: Samsung and Google. All others are either incurring losses or just breaking even. Still controls two thirds of the market.

5. Just by the virtue of it selling traditional computers, it still makes profit compared to companies like dell and hp.

6. Price earnings to ratio: 11.7
Other companies like Google: 22.8, Facebook: 286.5, Netflix: 358.5,
Amazon: 3583 and Microsoft: 14.9 respectively.

7. Market capitalization for Apple right now is $50 billion. This is like comparing these three mediocre companies with Apple: Sprint, RIM and Nokia.

Me thinks its just unfolding.

Mary Meeker Internet Trends 2012

All these are in the realm of smartphones which are like minicomputers and they are a subset of mobile phones.Feature phones are very prevalent as it stands. The problem with smartphones is that they haven't clearly displayed their utility to the consumer. Unlike feature phones, everyone wanted one because it was simply clear it offered convenient communication.

Smartphones on the other hand are more of a status symbol object especially in Africa. They are in the process of defining their utility to consumers. As it currently stands smartphones have similar features - camera's,music players,emails....the problem facing them is utility. The people who will derive utility from them are developers. Developers on the other hand will always choose the easier option and Apple and Microsoft Phones are more restrictive than Android in this respect.

That being said,Android as a platform is an enabler of deriving utility from smartphones and that's its greatest strength. Apart from the U.S. and parts of Asia, android is dominant. Android sales outsell iPhone.Especially in Africa where telco's are targeting, the first smartphone most Africans will own will likely be an Android based one. I base my analysis of Apple on that.

@jonna - this great company has missed targets for more than 3 quarters consecutively. While I dont' expect them to go down immediately, I think its a big mistake if they fail to target 3rd world consumers. Mr market is edgy for now and has cratered the share price more than 30% in a bull market! I like the idea of ipad mini to check the mini tablets from its rivals. But this could affect sales of the former ipad. The future is not PC or macs since cloud computing will power technology.

I know that there were rumours of them trying to make cheapet apples but lets wait and see. After all, if Adam ate the apple Eve gave him knowing fully well what the repercursions would be, the masses will do the same. Nothing is new under the sun.
