I'm supporting Nigeria but Ivory Coast, again, are the team to beat.

Thankfully and finally CAF have seen the folly of their ways and decided that AFCON will be played every four years. It had become too regular to look forward to and had started alienating African players playing in Europe, you can't have a tournament in the middle of the European league season and expect smiles and hugs - those are the clubs that pay these players!

I'll start watching matches from the quarter finals

So proud of Ethiopia, 30 yrs out, 1 man down, they come from a goal down to draw with the defending champions Zambia1:1.

Burkina Faso goalie sent off for handling outside the box.

Nigeria very dissapointing against Zambia. Should have called up Odemwingie to spice up the attack. The penalty against them though was dodgy. And what is Mikel doing taking penalties!

Waulize tena. The game was theirs till the last whistle. i hoped they got the energy they needed especially when the young shabalala walked into the pitch bt again....yesterday was their worst day i bet, our 7s charazad them kabisa, then mali, then no more afcon in s/a etc etc. Bure kabisa.
