So i have finally watched the clip.
First and foremostsmile - i did not hear anything particularly outstanding about EK's English neither did i hear anything awful about YT2's English. So the issue of coming off as articulate and the other as a poor communicator does not arise

This interview was not too bad for EV, he just wasted a lot of time talking and looking down on YT2 while Waititu was not afraid to say that he will use "all means possible" and then went ahead and explained why some actions are needed. And when he mentioned the 3000 kids from poor families who would not go to school had the land been grabbed,i then understood why he excites his followers.

I also liked it when Waititu said that he will focus on basics first and that, it is also about "the governed". Thumbs up. I think he should make it his slogan!

So YT2 won this one but EK can redeem himself-although i see his interview this morning was flat kama bravia heheheh and responses on his FB page are still -ve and making serious reference to CORD TV interview.

Under a mayor but with limited duties.

If Kidero wants to start this, then he will be just like Titu in introducing new roles for the governor like stoning land grabbers.

I know people who speak much more 'elitist' english than Qideiro, I didn't hear anything special

it's a pity that Qideiro did not utilize the time to 'sell himself' but rather was stabbing at Yti2 who took him on. I have to say it was wise of Yti2 not to wear a jacket/blazer otherwise his sense of justice would have led him to vua koti and who knows what would have happened next smile

Overall, the debate was lacking for me (and Gishauru didn't help either) but if I had to give marks, Yti2 came out tops....

Julie did not prepare for the interview. She should have structured it and also known the role of governor ,so that she could moderate well.

Ask them direct questions, not letting them run the show -substance is lost.

It is possible. Though it will require many things like organizing easier access to capital and some 'cultural design'.

BTW, this is much much better than Mbaru's idea of low cost housing (a good reason to keep Mbaru away).

Anything is possible, we only need to will it and conform to 'laws of nature'.
