To many Waititu understands plight of ordinary wananchi. Kidero like that arrogant ,abusive boss. Waititu connects easily to the voters- can drink kumi kumi without vomiting

I'm beginning to actually think Waititu and Sonko might be good for Nairobi as they understand the plight of the people. No matter what, poor people have to come first, they've been swept under the rugs for too long and it is a time bomb waiting to explode.

If the role of Governor is this then YT2 it is, if it is developing the City to the next level, Kidero all the time!!!

Gosh these ODM guys are really withering fast...at this rate there wont be too many of them in any seats.

I hate saying this, but Kidero comes across as pretty useless.

After a weekend of ODM youth burning tyres and their party nominations, they didn't need Kidero's appearance on TV.

It was singularly the worst campaign ad the world has seen.

On one side is a fellow who thinks he's too sharp. After all he was head of a company with branches all over Africa and his opponent has not read the constitution. His solution to fix sewage problems in Nairobi is to write another policy paper and bring white people with money to Nairobi. Oh yes by the way, he was born in Majengo and his parents don't speak english.

On the other side is a fellow who has been seen throwing stones on TV. His explanation of 3000 kids who were going to be schooless had a few guys thinking about the Nairobi that is real. The Nairobi where Kideros class steal a few markets and get a few lawyers to hide their crime. The Nairobi where a class of citizens in Nairobi are living in squallor while another 2 meters away is living in Hollywood.

The Waititu fellow was abused a number of times but he was cool about it and even laughing. But he never lost his story line. "I will do anything and everything to help my constituency".

There is no need for Kidero to waste any more campaign funds, he will lose embarrassingly.

First and Foremost.....he he he I agree with @Dunkang, YT2 only undoing could his be perceived abrasive style of leadership. If he can convince the middle class, the seat is his to lose.Take this two statements from his yesterday's interview:
1. "When we discuss about Governorship, we cannot forget to talk about the governed (the people)"
2. Nairobian know or rather have in papers what they want, they only need someone to implement this.

The things is, whoever becomes the Governor of Nairobi, He or she must fix the basic first.

Kidero knows what needs to be done to develop Nairobi but his attempts to put Waititu down by portraying him as lacking basic knowledge must have lost him a few votes.

And that is the problem with politics on TV for newbies. The only way for Kidero to win is to shed the clean cut CEO image. If he needs to wear akala and shorts a la Jaramogi, so be it. If he needs to have a house in Kaloleni and pretend to live in it, so be it.

I saw a man who does not understand that the biggest consistuency in Nairobi is the have nots.

Its still Kidero for me, he goofed yesterday, but i consider this way below the violent behavior and ignorance exhibited by some "humble" fellow. Nairobi failures are in planning which Kidero has done his homework on, unlike Waititu who is contributing to the mess with populism and support for unplanned structures and settlements. I would like to see Kidero(who certainly has the ability) resolve the post 1973 failures. As for Kideros arrogance, it is just a character flow "our perfect tribe" will have to get used to and joke about as he will certainly be our next Governor, take that to mbesha/mshwari bank amboseli, gatina branch.

Inferiority complex, is that enough reason to go for somebody blank????. Sorry Nairobi like any other global cosmopolitic cannot be entrusted to an ignorant CEO. He will be expected to negotiate development contracts and inviting investors to Nairobi. Too complex for the likes of Waititu. Though the voters will decide this, it is important that those who value Nairobi consider this.

As much as i am Jubilee, hakuna "three piece suit voting" for the likes of waititu, campaign bado, , Kidero in, Uhuru in. Then we will review in 2017.
