If you ever hear an aspiring governer talking of improving the police service etc, piga yeye mawe. A governer can only enhance security by providing security lighting, vehicles etc, otherwise his role is PURELY DEVELOPMENT. Security matters remain the domain of the County Commissioner (or whatever the name for the head of county security. He will work with the governer as a team member alongside County Education Officer, County Agricultural Officer etc but answerable to the central govt. btw, will these gabanas attend some class or sth?

They have my vote.I moved not by class but by people who have time to spare for the lowly in the society.
Eradicate poverty and empower the poor first before you can talk about a strong economy and building investor confidence. That is what Sonko and yt2 have done.
The likes of Kidero however have their ears tuned to cumulonimbus clouds.

what has been said here is quite true at least through unanimous consent waititu looked way better than kidero.Kidero was condescending, arrogant, belittling waititu throughout the whole interview. He lacked substance and solutions, seemed uncomfortable when asked the hard questions it was embarrassing for a learned fellow, i cringed every time he took a cheap shot at waititu.
Waititu was calm, gracious and humble.I think he won more nairobi hearts. If many people were watching, today is the day Kidero lost the race.

Away from the debate...

How does Citizen.... (or is it Julie?) manage to beat other stations to get such interviews?
I bet other stations would 'sacrifice' anything to air this.

By the way on a serious note other than Waititu kuaibisha watu walisoma India Kidero in my view came thru as patronizing. For example when he was explaining to Waititu like a primary school kid the difference between hectares and acres it didn't look too good. Kidero should play a bit more for the majority than try to constantly hit Waititu below the belt and come at an arrogant elitist in the process. The reviews are conflicting but to clinch the majority votes which is within the slum areas is key Kidero must humble himself and come up with another strategy

Jimna Mbaru was there, and see what happened to him?

Even though Waititu has my vote for now, his plan to send the brightest kids to Form 1A and the jinga types to Form 1D is a failure. Or is Form 1D equal to polytechnic?

Silenced Silenced let's just vote for him.He could be God sent.
Remember this;

Samuel met with Jesse's first seven sons, but God let him know that none of them was the one He had chosen to be Israel's second king.
But “One of Jesse's sons is a talented harp player. Not only that — he is a brave warrior, a man of war, smile and has good judgment.(just keep on praying)

“The Lord said to Samuel, ‘Don't judge by his appearance or height.People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Laleni munone.
God bless kenya

I watched the interview. I was dreading what Waititu would say in a debate against Kidero.

Kidero was trying to show he understand the numbers, facts and issues that need to be tackled by the governor. But he came out a very arrogant man. I think he has lost some votes today.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly yeah. I laughed at that idea. But he is a good leader.

He may not understand all that but am sure he will have the likes of Kidero in his office to interpret the law and work.
Keep it simple

Kidero better hope machinani never watched that interview..

shittyzen is everywhere. Kidero was very arrogant and looked down on YT2. He was more focused on being sarcastic than what the debate was all about. Waititu humbled himself and appealed to the voters. He is a smart guy, understands what Nairobi needs [basics] though he has a communications weakness. Baba Yao wins round 1.

Baba Yao needs to come up with a good list of issues that he will work on. You dont just dwell on how you have fought land grabbers in the past, you need a realistic plan based on the budget and constitutional roles of a county govt. Same for Kidero. It is good to be a Mangu High alumni and to work for those big corporates but read the law and then give us a good list of issues not lying to us that the police will be under you.
