police spokeman kiraithe has concluded that mathenji was shot at by mbuthia in self defence. eyewitness,including a cop on the scene sums up that mathenji was overtaking carelessly when he hit mbuthias car,prompting an argument. it is at this point that mbuthia pulled the trigger,firing the shot through mathenji's mouth and exiting at the back. this happened in eastleigh on sunday evening.

what is intruiging is that even the investigations into the incidence were not started before kiraithe fired the salvos in defence of one of his former colleagues. apparently mbuthia is a licesenced gun holder,having retired after holding senior positions in the police force.
