both the kenyatta avenue and moi avenue in nairobi are to become a oneway avenue starting this august. these are a raft of measures undertaken by the city planning department to decongest the city. other roads so far closed are kaunda street; from city hall annex to Basilica,banda street; from koinange street to kimathi street (nation centre) and biashara street from koinange street to moi avenue.

closure of the two main avenues will coincide with the culmination of talks to charge 500bob for car parking in the city.
