No succession plans put in place whatsoever within his party or even at his othaya parliamentary seat. His VP 'sleeping with the enemy', his 'wife' having troubles in othaya. Political incompetence disguised as handsoff? At least Moi despite his numerous failings, showed his party the way, though unsuccessfully.

@jagged had he named successor you would be the first to yell. cut the Guy some slack. hedam named and see how that went I may be wrong..but then I could be right

For 24 years, we had enough of a 'good' politician such as the professor who didnt even begin to know how to pronounce the words Thika highway. I would rather an economist anytime. Politicians think solely of their bellies. Obako is a statesman and that should be his legacy, rising above petty Othaya politics - who knows, if he got overtly involved he may have imposed his son (or daughter) on Othayans like the dinosaurs always do!
And by the way, his being silent dont no mean he's not doing anything in the background, au sio?
