And what will one do with someones Name, ID and Polling Station? Folks put far more than that on social networking websites with almost no serious consequences.

Considering that all you need to do is fill in ID/ passport number and it brings all the other details, it means that the infomation is in some server somewhere, confirming the same might not make much difference. If the crooks access the server kwisha, whether we confirm or not.

This is the entire voting population database we are talking about...our teki can see more that what you can see on your screen, lets say he downloads that, bulk sms softwares are free and completely out of CCK or any authority control, see the risk?

Honestly I still don't. Send us SMSes and then what? What does he gain? Storm in a tea cup if you ask me.

SMS is a very effective means of communication, a case where as a candidate I want to spread hate against a certain community/person,I would get more audience...if you understand how tribal and vulnerable we Kenyans are..the picture is very clear.

plus most of peoples details are in some books at mpesa agent kiosks, plus CCK controls the vas providers and even if an individual can get software that goes around the CCK part, the sms has to go through the mobile provider - who were asked to screen such.
