Am saying that there are more competent people to run Nairobi except those clowns Waititu, Sonko & co. We have competent people like Jimnah Mbaru, Kidero, Gakuo etc that the electorate should consider. But the problem with democracy is that it is a popularity contest and competency is given a back seat. Sad that even some of the highly educated and knowledgeable wazua middo crass seem to support sonko and co.

Simply because history tells us that Leadership is not found in books and MBAs.
We had people like Anyang' Nyong'o, Kivutha Kibwana, Sam Ongeri,Oburu Oginga and several MBA holders who have done dismally compared to Sonkos!

I actually don't think it's a problem. We brought this on ourselves. Why should one man be living in an 18 room mansion in Runda while an extended family of 12 lives in a one room mad house in Kibera? In any society, you fight for the poor and not the rich because you are as weak as your weakest link. In Kenya we failed to do that and it's payback time. The inequality gap is just too big but now the majority have a voice. Democracy is a b****, ain't it.

You mean like they seek vacancies at Nairobi county departments but leave the overall top job, governor, for waititu?

And that's the biggest problem because the rich and middle class, who have a very huge stake in the city are outnumbered. And it means that the fate of all the property owners/business owners/multinationals in nairobi, from Runda to karen to Kileleshwa to south B to Umoja is in the hands of the 70% of Nairobians who belong to the lower classes and may be living in informal settlements, people who share little (ideals/aspirations/expectations) with the other 30%, who include the real owners/movers/shakers of nairobi.
