Those half-literate jokers with their fake credentials would never be hired for any decent job, and now they want to run the most important city in the region. 99% of the electorate in Nairobi county dont have MBA; please take to the nearest Ekwete bank before they close for the day. The Governors and Senators will not be elected by MBA holders but buy Makangas and hawkers!!! The painful truth. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

My point was that there are more MBAs & professionals per square mile in Nairobi than in any other part of the republic. They should take up the challenge (leadership and otherwise) and put the city on the right cause. And not leave it to hooligans like waititu and sonko, and then spend the next 5yrs crying about poor leadership.

At the moment the only way to do it is through the power of the ballot, do you have any other way please? Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

I will not be available for the nominations. But come the d-day, its the dove from bottom up. Kidero and Mbaru are the worst for the governor. Wanjiru (Kamangu) should never get a vote from any male with a pair of balls. Am ok with waititu / Gakuo, Sonko or any other fellow. Keep it simple

H/she is blaming the highly educated and MBA holders electorate; and I ask him/her how can these group of electorate bring the change he/she wants? Am saying that there are more competent people to run Nairobi except those clowns Waititu, Sonko & co. We have competent people like Jimnah Mbaru, Kidero, Gakuo etc that the electorate should consider. But the problem with democracy is that it is a popularity contest and competency is given a back seat. Sad that even some of the highly educated and knowledgeable wazua middo crass seem to support sonko and co.

H/she is blaming the highly educated and MBA holders electorate; and I ask him/her how can these group of electorate bring the change he/she wants? You got it all wrong. The reference to the 'highly educated professionals and MBAs' is not to the electorate but to the potential pool of governors. He/she then says that the electorate (not the 'highly educated professionals and MBAs' electorate as you seem to read it) is not getting it right by making 'half-literate jokers' front runners instead of the 'highly educated professionals and MBAs' . PS: Trying to explain how I get his/her point, not that I agree that professionals and MBA holders would make better governors than say a form 4 graduate - that's another debate all together. He who can express in words the ardour of his love, has but little love to express. - Petrach, Son. (That men by various ways arrive at the same end. - Montaigne, The Essays of.)

And that's the biggest problem because the rich and middle class, who have a very huge stake in the city are outnumbered. And it means that the fate of all the property owners/business owners/multinationals in nairobi, from Runda to karen to Kileleshwa to south B to Umoja is in the hands of the 70% of Nairobians who belong to the lower classes and may be living in informal settlements, people who share little (ideals/aspirations/expectations) with the other 30%, who include the real owners/movers/shakers of nairobi.

I actually don't think it's a problem. We brought this on ourselves. Why should one man be living in an 18 room mansion in Runda while an extended family of 12 lives in a one room mad house in Kibera? In any society, you fight for the poor and not the rich because you are as weak as your weakest link. In Kenya we failed to do that and it's payback time. The inequality gap is just too big but now the majority have a voice. Democracy is a b****, ain't it. BBI will solve it :)

Spot on. You are absolutely right. But I wonder why the senate seat worries you. Sonko, being a populist n a noise maker, will make a good senator, not unless you want a fat old sleepy farting idiot in the senate. Atabumburusha hao wazee mpaka waamuke. It's the governer's seat that should have us worried, n that is why a well refined n very strict no-nonsense MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR like Gakuo is needed, assisted by the man of the people~the people's mobilizer, YT2-. .That is a winning team that may perform very well IMO. TULIA.........UFUNZWE!
