Senators and county governance

Constitutionally would one be wrong to say that senators have no role at all in county governance, what exactly is their work as far as county is concerned? For those who read the gatiba in-between the lines please enlighten those of us who said "our father has read and said its good"

1st got your pdf copy of the constitution, ctrl f then type Senator go to roles, read then we compare notes.

@freiks, what was the role of MPs in the old order? 99% will say to ensure dvpt in their constituencies!

True. The Senate is almost toothless. In roles allocation, it pales in comparison to the National Assembly. For instance, budgets are discussed and approved in the National Assembly. The Senate will only deal with allocation between the counties. Any bill can originate from the N.Assembly even if it involves counties while for the Senate, only bills concerning counties can originate there. Thus your Senator will be left with philanthropy(aka dvpt projects and handouts) as his duty. Many wont be re-elected in 2017.
