Delegate county security? Never. National security MUST maintain a national outlook, otherwise, we are staring at the rise of 47 african despots with our ignorance.

DITTO! This is Africa. You may end up hearing police from Wajir battled Garissa police in a shoot out over border dispute.

Nice posts. My one wish would be a president who ensures that the laws we have in the books are enforced. Hiyo tu---- for starters.

I want the next president to take RESEARCH very seriously. Researchers want funding to solve the complex diseases and improve food security. By some simple genetic tests medication can be prescribed which will work better.
That forensic lab project should also be completed.

True!! Research requires equipment and money. Since the finances are lacking we are loosing brilliant minds in this field. Some moving to foreign countries to work there and doing amazing work, others just changing careers and doing what they have to do to survive because research is ignored by the GOK. The little research that is being done in the country is almost fully funded by the whites and (unfortunately) they have their own interests.

If there is one thing that I would advocate delegating, then its security. The central government has failed to properly control the country's security.

our biggest problem is to do with orders from above and laxity to implement policy because officers on the ground are afraid of taking initiative as they await instructions from paper pushers sitting in Nairobi with no idea of what is happening on the ground.

We must stop the notion of believing that only one person can decide for us. We need to trust in our laws and trust in the people given the responsibility to implement them.
