The UoN Karl Marx? May he rest in peace. I remember the guy once broke my room door with an axe in a hall fight between Hall 10 and Halls 1,2 and 3 after another quiet 2nd year dude had beat him to a pulp at the student center...I thought the end had come for me. He grabbed the hot coffee and deep fried chicken and went on his way. After that beating, the era of Karl Marx inspiring awe and fear in other students was over. Interesting times.

@quicksand, that must have been scary. Used to hear about him when I was in seco. His fame had spread even there. I was disappointed when I finally joined campus. He was a wreck, always drunk, making noise and jumping on tables at Student Centre and CCU. Thanks to him and his ilk, all women halls became protected zones where male visitors had to deposit their IDs with security to be allowed in.

Karl Marx has so far, been a cursed name. I know of four people, including the original, who have had a very rough time in their lifetime.

RIP Chris.

Poleni. I saw him about a year ago in KSM somewhere near Port Florence hospital. He looked like he had lost it.

This used to happen. Reminds me of Awuor Ponge C. Guy joined campus in 1990 and graduated in 2006!

He was elected to SONU in 2005 by guys who were probably in Nursery school when he was in first year!

As we say farewell to this Karl Marx victim, whose soul is now free, let’s not forget the other Marxist “victims” still suffering under the yoke of a “supreme communist leader”, right here in Kenya. We remember those that were indoctrinated to replace the names and powers of spiritual entities with those of their own such as Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Lenin, and give devotion them. They were misled to admire and name their young after these communist atheists and revolutionaries such as Fidel Castro, Patrice Lumumba right here in Kenya during the 1940’s to 1980’s secret communist indoctrinations and to honor their “supreme leaders” in loyalty pledges and cast their Bibles, Korans, hymn books, devotionals into the lake. Karl Marx set out to kill our souls, ruled half the world, but it was foolishness as those who stood by the freedom to assert they have a soul, have won.

I want to remember my dear brothers McReggae, Obi 1 Kanobi, Poundfoolish and others who are still yoked in the belief of a mortal “supreme leader”, the Berlin wall has not fallen for them yet, they have put the Marxist agent in Kenya on a pedestal only deserving of a deity. I remember those with Christian names in the cabinet holding Lands James. O and Health Peter A.N who earlier tried to free the “yoked” but were forced into submission. I also remember Tom Mboya, who struggled solely against communism as the voice of democracy and capitalism in the area and later Robert Ouko, only to meet with deadly fate.

I pray for this most intelligent community that was mislead, they are surely our best –minds/most beautiful/handsome/fun loving- brothers and sisters but are yoked. Their legendry strong worriers of the past ensured they held onto the most desirable land in Kenya, where one can get a meal and fresh water everyday for free from the lake by your provision, no tilling, and no fertilizer just free, I have never heard of starvation there. We cannot all get something daily free and the communist chose this place to create the impression that a world of “free things” is possible and to implant the evil ideology of Karl Marx. We know that if we do not till, and adopt politics of free things, we shall starve, so each should eat and drink of their sweat.

I pray specifically for a President from that area for Kenya by 2017, I pray that when the last embers of the communism flame of fear that forcefully engulfed Kenya in 1982 and consequently a trend of hatred against a certain community was adopted as a strategy 1987 & 1992(when communist cooperated), 1997(when communist entered kanu), and mostly in 2007, is vanquished, and a transition to county governments is established, then in 2017 give us a leader, a true democrat specifically from this region, one that does not count tribes people, with the superb brains, so that we may show our beloved brothers and sisters that it was never tribal, just an ideological difference that should not be taken as a matter of life and death. I PROMISE TO CAST MY VOTE FOR HIM.

Lastly we are hearing rumors of strife, we pray for the 5 killed in Kibera yesterday in unclear circumstances, we who believe in The Almighty know you are our defender, our armor, our sword, and shall cast all our fears and phobias to you, as you lead us through this transition. We pray for the false prophets misleading them. With courage, and with you as our defender, we will continue to honor and make our pledges to you in our constitution, our anthems and our meditations.
