With the demand, why is the price stuck at 5.05? Xmass season?

@Mukiri this stock has rallied from 2.80bob back to its IPO price in 2012... Time for it to take a breather!

Unless the market P/E goes up i don't see safcon rallying beyond here.. (market P/E likely to go up if elections go smoothly)

BAT, ARM & EABL are on expensive P/E than mpesa bank are still or have posted all time highs. Looking at the MSCI KE index chart, it's now bullish after 5yrs and I expect foreigners to keep up the bid pressure. Are we going to see P/Es above 20 like back in 2006/2007? Only time will tell. This however is dependent on election outcome.

Poor voice quality by mpesa bank - http://www.businessdaily...6/-/do5cl1/-/index.html

I wonder how much the revenues would spike if these inefficiencies are fixed consistently to seal the revenue leaks.

Kenyans so far have saved over Sh150 million through M-Shwari and loans currently standing at over Sh50 million with healthy repayment trends already noted.
M-Shwari

A loan to deposit ratio of 30% is more than ideal for unsecured lending products! Looks like another hit for safcon has emerged through M-shwari!

Applause

Can the deposits be lent out to non-m’swari products and safaricom still benefit from the ensuing profits. I think a loan to deposit ratio of 30% it too low and more juice can be squeezed from the deposits

@Jamani, what are your thoughts? What effect would signing the treaty have on Kenyan telcos, if any?

Safaricom loses first round of M-Shwari row with Faulu - http://www.businessdaily...2/-/hbrfyw/-/index.html

KE courts are interesting this year. Btw since Faulu didn't patent this idea that they claim was theirs, what is the case? So far the NDA alone can't win this case! Me thinks this is just a Kopa Chapaa awareness stunt. Cheeky marketing...

Bad reporting by BD, IMO. Safaricom has not lost anything. By refusing to refer the case to the Industrial Tribunal, the judge is saying there is no "industrial dispute", which works in Safaricom's favor. In the next para, the judge has refused to injunct safaricom from operating Mshwari, meaning faulu is not suffering any legal loss by mshwari's continued operation. This is clearly a win for safaricom. Safaricom will win this case, plus costs.
Else Faulu will win the case but get nominal damages like sh 5.
Life is short. Live passionately.

It doesn't matter. They got to the market first and branded it well. That will stick in the minds of consumers no matter what happens to the court case.
Uncertainty is certain.Let go

Murderers do get away with murder if the plaintiff side has shoddy arguments!

This M-Shwari case is such an example...

I still view this as marketing stunt (Kopa Chapaa) from the poor case representation by the plaintiff. They need to go back to the drawing board and learn how to draft industrial lawsuits.
