Is it just mpesa or all mobile money agencies? If just mpesa some more investigation is required.

Mpesa is almost guaranteed. I don't even know one person with airtel money or the other operators. Or were you referring to agent banking?
I think mpesa is easy prey and they not only need to invest in insurance but more importantly security.

BBI will solve it :)

I meant the mobile money agency chain. How come mpesa features prominently? What makes the banking agency model hard to target?

With Mpesa,thugs are guaranteed of a loot. Most of the bank agents don't do good business.

But ekwetyy in its 3rd qtr results showed increased business in agency banking and claimed that is the next frontier of banking business

We need to be factual here.For Equity,agents are doing good business & very soon they will overtake over the counter teller transactions.

I know of a man who runs an Equity agent & he is making good....good cash.These too I guess are targets.
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.
