I like the idea of registering at the station where you will vote. One should influence the electoral outcome of the place where they spend most of their time.

The issue here is that if somebody is in Nairobi, for example, and they want to vote at their shags, then the guy should register here in Nairobi but be given the option to specify their home polling center. With a computer this is not difficult, unless IEBC bought fake machines.

And my point is if you live in Nairobi, then why do you want to vote in shags.

@Obi, why do you want to decide for people where to vote? Some want to influence who is to become their representatives at home to push their agenda, e.g. building roads. You won't live in the city forever.

There is a large fraction of Kenyans who would have wished to make an independent choice of their polling centers. Restricting registration to where you will vote implies they have to spend enormously for the journey home. Not to mention absence from work which employers will not tolerate.

These issue could easily be cured through re-configuring the BVR kits. Why should such a simple thing cost the economy so much?

if the shags leaders are so important that you need to travel to vote, then you are free to travel to register.

Because your living in Nairobi is temporary (work- subject to transfer, search for work) with no investments while shags is permanent with actual investment to boot.

Am not surprised that you can't appreciate the big picture here.

What does 107% mean? Does it mean people who should have registered elsewhere registered in Nairobi or there are more new registered (new IDs etc) voters than was estimated?

BBI will solve it

The target itself was based on an estimation!!!!

Are all these people in Rift Valley all Kaleos?
If that is so then you add Central to it, then OAR has a fight for his life.

Kales and kyuks are the majority. Rumours are Kosgey will defect if he doesn't get VP in CORD. Anyway I don't think he commands anything there.
