Ruto's/Uhuru's political bases may not automatically vote as a block if a major change is done last minute especially if the two are not on ballot paper as presidential candidate or Running mate @waza i agree with you totally.i dont understand all the fascination with messi and the guy is still polling under 5%.It is a dangerous game to have sold UK to the people and then all over sudden say Messi is the guy.He has no charisma,cannot attract crowds on his own and he has simply been unable to connect with the voter.What is it this guyz pushing for him to be flag bearer know that the rest of us dont know.is there going to be a magic wand waved and all UK and Ruto followers will come voting for him.Messi is a weak candidate and i just dont see him beating Rao.

I never wrote that Messi is popular. What I wrote is that Kenyans either vote for or against someone, with own tribe being the foremost criteria. That’s the whole key. For example, if it were only RAO and Tuju vying for the presidency, Central would overwhelmingly vote against RAO and not for Tuju because he’s more popular. Same scenario but Nyanza; RAO would trump and Tuju would lose big time. Now if it were only Kenneth / Uhuru and Nyanza had to choose between the two, who do they loath (maybe fear) more? Get the difference? Now see why RAO desperately wants to run against Uhuru and not Messi. Look where RAO’s first campaigning stop was after the coalition agreements. RAO fears Messi and it’s not because he’s more popular. RAO understands tribal voting patterns. Sent from my Black Nokia 3310

@ash ock, you nailed it. Fear and love will be the main determinants. @itz, Kenyans fear Raila? I dont think so. Kenyans from certain voting blocs fear Raila.

I used to hear similar stories in 2007. Only Kalonzo can defeat Kibaki, kenya isn't ready for luo presidency... Mudavadi had months to convince ODM delegates to elect him but he bolted out of the race how will he convince the delegates he has never met once to vote for him? Will they vote at county level as he had advocated while in ODM? If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

The opinion poll was conducted on 7 political regions that include; Mombasa, Machakos, Nairobi, Garissa, Nakuru, kisumu and Kakamega. Why did they ignore Central province? 18th tuesday d-day for MDVD 20 delegates 47 counties 3 parties if he looses he is vapourised politically if he wins he becomes president elect waiting to be confirmed on march 4th and how did the 3 after meeting for may be 5hrs manage to call their coalition jubilee which coincidentally kenya will be having jubilee celebrations next year or this guys are following a script
