if Messi goes to ballot with Pele, then game over. Pele will see dust. all the western/riftvalley/centro votes are in the bag. i hope UMK will not stop this.

But then again with the new costitution guys can play dirty and extend elections beyond April........ there is a small catch . Think guys think........

its a tough call,.

For Messi's chances to be realistic,... he has to be given the ball early.. not with a month or two to go.. He is not a natural poacher.

Ruto's/Uhuru's political bases may not automatically vote as a block if a major change is done last minute especially if the two are not on ballot paper as presidential candidate or Running mate

My only worry is, all this supporters from all sides, they show up in large numbers yet only a few have registered. May be IEBC should give us finally figures of which counties have registered more pple, then we can start working out the equations.

Uhuru knows this. Messi is the best chance for the TNA alliance to take the next elections. Ruto, ever the sly one, has probably seen the writing on the wall. The 40 odd or so MP’s from central who made noise were probably told the truth.

We Kenyans have a particular way of voting (and callingsmile ). We never vote based on manifestos (what’s that?) or anything else except personalities. We either vote for someone we like or against someone we dislike more than the other.

If Uhuru and RAO are the two front runners, Central would vote for Uhuru, Rift Valley against Uhuru (2008 PEV, historical land issues, and yet another Kikuyu), coast against Uhuru (land issues) and Western for RAO. RAO wins the elections.

If Messi and RAO are the two front runners, Central would vote against RAO (surprised?), Rift Valley against RAO, coast against RAO and Western for Messi. Messi wins the elections.

That’s why RAO fears running against Messi more than Uhuru.

Voting for a manifesto is as crazy as voting for a map. While voting for a personality is as crazy as taking a mat without knowing where it's going but hoping the handsome and affable driver will take you there.

In a country where there are no differences in ideology but rather differences in who-gets-to-eat, manifestos are usually copy-paste jobs with well meaning but useless jargon like zero tolerance, equitable, social democracy and suchlike. And where they opt to do measurable promises, they often tell us unachievable things like NARCs katiba in 100 days.
