Unfortunately I dont stay in Kenya at the moment, though I am participating in SK. I received adividend check/cheque in kenyan shilling which I have taken to almost or all banks I know here in the USA to see if I could correct the money in dollars but it seems no bank is willing to buy the check. Could there be anybody in SK who has any idea what to do? Dyer and blair unfortunately don't credit a CDS account whenever one sells shares or gets dividends. Thanks.

Endorse the check to someone you trust back home and let them buy for your dollars... Alternatively, open a KSHS account, let them be putting the dividends there, then you can buy dollars from the bank holding your account... (dont know whether this would work).

Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

Aime-its rare to hear of a country that accepts cheques from another.

Tumia mothy/baba cheque umwambia akueke kwa account yako ama yake nyumbani.
