There was a luo guy by the name Oluoch who was elected as councillor in Murang'a Town. He went on to be the mayor or deputy mayor.
The guy settled there and owns lots of property including a famous garage.
Unfortunately such stories never make it to the main press as they go against stereotype

The maths: URP believes it can get 102 MPs (60 from Rift Valley, 10 from North Eastern and other pastoral area, 10 from Eastern, 10 for Western, 10 from coast, and 2 from Kisii).
