Best Trees for a Tree Forest?

Which trees are the best to grow for a chamaa with 3+ Acres in Maragwa, Central Kenya? The land has no river frontage but has a water well with good amounts of clean water. Group ready to wait for as much as ten years. An Operational partner with great ideas also welcome (chamaa provides land plus part/full capital). Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.

blue gum would be best in that area.. though in maragwa you are better off planting bananas and mangoes..ten years' worth of bananas and mangoes will be more than what you can get from the trees. Every man is guilty of all the good he didn't do-

Blue gum is illegal. Am told chiefs go from shamba to shamba uprooting. Bananas and Maongoes are a plus BUT all members are engaged elsewhere. Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.

if blue gum is illegal then mukau tree is not and it's timber is of better quality than that of blue gum. source-go to machakos town and ask for mukau trees Every man is guilty of all the good he didn't do-

Blue gum will destroy the environment, go the horticultural way. better still weka greenhouse with a roof! Thieves

Tried local vijana with an easier project but they are only interested in thiefing and 'kayfao' ( kumi-kumi) That's why we are adopting the passive investment strategy until one or more of us are free. The uses for Bamboo are many and varied but info is scarce in Kenya.

some guy was talking about a soft wood called 'mufariti' (hope i got name correctly). Any one with any info on it? maturity period, disease-free, usages... Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.
