All depends on your kid..some can go earlier and cope other will have problems. I used to stay near a school and my boy wanted to go school at early age. There was no pressure of the distance and a good part of the time spent was sleeping and reciting the alphabets He liked and was going on well until i moved to class one in a a good public school. For two years he performed badly and actually was hating school. And the excuse the teachers would give is the age and big class. Had to move him to a private school and performance has improved and he has changed his attitude towards school. I took the sister the right age (3 years) baby school and she is full of confidence and she has not had issues with other kids and teachers.

Sparta or Athens? Sparta for me. But one should measure time not in years, but on relationship, objective, and capacities.

Please help me understand what you are saying.

Or are you just expressing your anger?

At least that is how I was measured and I never attended those those numerous baby schools, nursery, never repeated any class, pass-over class 3, never had a running nose, never wore a sweater, was position one entire my schooling life, never niniod at form 2smile ,never tarmacked, never got bullied, never said "me my mother/dad..." while storying, never fought a girlApplause ,never arrogant, never ate ceralac...

I joined class one quite mature and straight thinking.

@Impunity, there are several things that you say that you've never done. Were they your conscious choices?

You have said that one thing you used to do is to come top of your class, and that you were a straight thinker. How did you get to be a straight thinker?

Listen to Sir Ken Robinson speaking on Education:

Sir Ken Robinson: Bring on the learning revolution!

Also, if you can, get a film called "Waiting for Superman (2010)" about the education system in the US.

"A 3-year old is not half a 6-year old. He/she is a 3-year old."
