Try the Public Health Office at JKIA. Got mine there in 2005 and the certificate is valid for 10yrs. Though can't remember the cost but it was cheap. Was traveling to Mexico and was one of the visa requirements. I had to have jab at least 10 days before travel. I didn't know some countries administer on arrival. Since cert is valid for 10yrs you can use it to travel to several countries. Have also used mine to travel to India and was a prerequisite for visa.

I got mine at City Hall. Can't remember the price, but twas economical (NB I fear the word cheap; Cheap can be very expensive!) There were no ques too. And the Cert/booklet bears 'Nairobi City Council', better than Pastor Njoro Clinic.

I think you cant get the cert everywhere since there are places authorized by the WHO and city hall is one of them. The Jkia one I think is also under City public Health dept. The charges are gazetted by GOK and pasted there, I think about 1000 bob. And the kanjo doctors and nurses are very professional. And no queues.

I went to my usual pharmacy,(charge was 3k),was booked but they referred me to Agakhan and JKIA.
But I heard there were cheaper options and that is what I want. Unless the cheaper option is Blue or Green fever.
I am very economical.smile

Is kanjo health department right inside cityhall??

I had mine at Aga Khan in 2007; cant remember at what cost. I have never used it since but used to carry it 2007; I have no idea where it is as of today yet I travel in and out every 4 or so weeks. Which countries require this cert?

I got mine last year, around 15th Sept 2012 at City Hall. its 900/-. Once you enter city, the directions are straight forward, not unless, you are the type that don't ask for directions.

The CCN one is WHO certified and recognized internationally, so don't waste your money with private places. The place is so professional, you will be left wondering whether you are at City Hall. No queue at all! Takes less than 15 minutes.

Paid for my Brother at City Hall on 31/07/2012.
Cost = KES 1800.
This is the cheapest clinic in Nairobi that offers Vaccinations.

Depends on the country you are traveling to and they will normally include it in the visa requirements. It's required while traveling to countries in the tropics and southern hemisphere where they could be having yellow fever and want you protected and thus need for the vaccine. SA requires you to have it too. I have traveled to Europe and US and they don't require it since yellow fever isn't endemic there.

@jaggernaut, it also depends on which countries you may have transited through. You may be required to show proof of Vaccination on your arrival back home if you made a stop-over in say, Addis Ababa.
