You should by now know that an MD at that time or this time has no say on the sale of a public (government) corporation. Th MD is an employee of the corporation and not an owner and may not even be consulted. When govt. decides to privatise the parastatals they want only parliament and judiciary can intercede.

So did he say register his protest at the planned sale? Did he resign as a result? The only thing that can make me give him a pass on this is if it turns out that he tipped off the three MPs who went to court over the matter. Or he was somehow working with them discreetly.

It is all too easy for people to blame Moi for the wrongs done during his time while clearly if Moi never had any enablers none of those wrongs would have been committed. In fact he would not have even held onto power in the first place. Time people were held personally accountable for their acts.

And why do you assume he's buying them? In my opinion the re-alignments and defections are cheap survival tactics because we always vote for an individuals party and right now TNA is looking like the most promising vehicle.

I have never seen a record of his reaction to the sale. But may be it's because it would have been irrelevant anyway. Most MD/CEOs have no say even in private sector.

BBI will solve it

In that case, the title of the thread is rather hopelessly farfetched. Everybody knows what went on during the great Moi error. Everything public was for sale by the govt to who was who then. PK was just the figurehead, an employee of a parastatal owned by the moi govt, who actually turned round the institution-I stand to be corrected. Look for another one friend.

How many former parastatal heads owns a fleet of chppers and fles n them daily?

Madam, i don't have anything against PK. I was just trying to understand 'our' presidential candidates. It just doesn't make sense how a 'Kijana wa Mtaa', former Goalkeeper of Re-Union F.C, with no godfathers can afford what he is displaying for the last 24 months or so.

Maybe am not well informed, how much does it cost to own a chopper, or, to hire a chopper for 24 months.

@Dunkang, i don't know him either, or how he got the wealth.. hence my saying, instead of speculating, bring facts on the table.
My prayer has been and remains that God would expose all these guys for us to be able to chose wisely! SO, bring facts, i can promise to be objective about it.

hmmmm....lets know our candidates. KNOW not MALIGN. I know him as a man with a midas touch. The dude is simply one shrewd entrepreneur. As far as I know, he knows a good deal when he sees one. That is even more marks for him. We need to tap this skill as a nation, fast.

Insunuations

I know that someone running was involved in Molasses, hires his family members to top positions, lets not talk about oil cartels.

I know another who's family is probably the biggest mob of land grabbers in the world. May be involved in serious crimes etc etc

I know another who's name was nearly printed in 500 bob notes. May be involved in serious crimes etc etc

Those are the people I know.

As for PK. I know nothing.

Actually no one here has said categorically that any helicopter he's riding on is his. That he stole it from CMC motors.

No one here other than making long winded statements has said, categorically that he was involved in any underhanded deals.

I'm a voter. I want to know. If he stole any money, stop going writing worthless thesis in every Kenyan blog out there.

Hahaha @Alma,
So you'd rather believe in insinuations against the Raila's, Ruto's and UK's of this world but sweep those against PK under the carpet, even for the above none of the allegations has proof,by the way given the number of times PK uses the copters, it would be cheaper to own one than to hire!!!!!

The cleanest presidential candidate is Uhuru Kenyatta. I have never heard a corrupt deal he has been involved in. All his wealth has been acquired in the most transparent and legitimate way, inheritance. All the rest are hustlers who have had to squeeze a deal here, a deal there to get ahead.

This Mr. clean guy had a very long and we may speculate a financially and politically uplifting relationship with the member for Aldai at a time when wao walikuwa wenyenchi. Mkiona vyaelea, vimeundwa.

Was the infamous budget error expained?I highly doubt UK is using his inheritance to buy out all these politicians!

You grossly underestimate the size of his inheritance.

In Moi's Kanu the line between clean and unclean was not very clear. So for example people would go to Moi and say you have a money problem and then he would maybe call the MD of National Bank and tell him to give you some money. So you walk to National Bank and walk out with a few millions, you buy property and appear rich or if you have a good sense invest the money wisely and make even bigger returns. For as long as you toe the line nobody ever asks for the money back or if the bank writes to you to ask for payment you may go to Moi again or a powerful state house guy and the calls stop. Somehow the money becomes a bad debt or debt guaranteed by government but either way you are rich without having worked for it and not having exactly stolen.

Other ways to make money for the really huge players then was to become a supplier to government or government institutions. You buy a million paper clips for one cent each and then sell it to GOK at 10 shillings each. Technically you are just a businessman making a profit just like all businessmen do so you can call yourself clean and no court will ever find fault in your dealings. For the big boys there was NSSF. You buy a plot for say 1 million, or even better you get a government plot allocated to you by Moi (He could legally do this) then you call NSSF or have people from state house or just powerful people call NSSF and they "agree" to buy your 1 million shilling plot for 50 million after less than a year. You are still clean. Hujafanya makosa.

So anyone who was an insider in the Moi government by either being a head of a parastatal or close to the right powers could make a lot of money in legally clean but shady deals.

Of all the sitting MPs, he's the only one who has stretched his constituency's CDF farthest.I therefore draw the conclusion that he's done cutting shady deals [if he ever did] and he will stretch our national budget widest.

How has UK,Ruto,RAO etc performed on that front? They had to be forced by KRA to pay taxes.

PK's evils fade away when compared to those of the rest.

This is more interesting than I thought.

So now UK and RAO supporters have united against PK!Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

I propose UK and RAO join hands against this PK 'safi kama pamba' guy.

The elections will be won even before they start!

But seriously, PK needs to come clean on his wealth if he is clean.
