Uhhhhh!!!.....It's such a coincidence that this "hooligans" only appear when Gor is playing and take a break until the next Gor match.....what nonsense!!
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

As someone has pointed out, this is a much bigger problem. The police are on a go slow and did nothing - they always seem unprepared even when they have advance notice. GOR hooligans always seem to get away with trouble, KPL also do nothing about this. In well run leagues, even fans know that hooliganism has consequences for the clubs they support (fines, playing in empty stadiums, lost sponsorship Etc) and generally avoid unruly behavior which will hurt their clubs.

To the defenders of GOR, these guys used to assault coaches when they lose. It is not the way to attract the common man to stadiums. While GOR fans have contributed to the vibrancy of the local league any further development hinges on attracting more people to come to see live matches and pay for it. I certainly want to one day take my kids to see a match, but not at the risk of being assaulted. Its no wonder Kenya is the sick man of East Africa in football terms.

Give the police a break, please. What is so difficult for fully grown homo sapiens to manage themselves? If the police confronted the fans, surely they would have had to shoot a few to stop the chaos and i am sure today some wazuans would frothing and screaming of police brutality.

We might as well then disband the police and hope that everyone be good boys and girls! Be realistic! We know some idiots will behave this way, and that is why we need a police force that does its job!

Ati police are to blame for not containing the melee, such hogwash ama ni stupidity.
I don't remember when eldoret streets came to a standstill because a "kemboi" lost the race.
What does it mean to say lets not demonize Gor kwani whats so special about them anyway.
Kenyans need to understand that we can be passionate about football but not necessarily have the best team.It happens. You win some, you loose some but you live to fight another day.

All in all, let us not demonize Gor for without Gor football in Kenya would be passionless game. Thanks Gor for keeping football interesting in Kenya. I would not like football in Kenya to go where it was 5yrs ago where a match was played infront of 5 or 10 fans like a Kamencu bash.

i rather this than violence.

Ironic,

There was the choice of either Gor v Thika and Tusker v someone on supersport, but everyone in every bar was watching the gor; thika game. Ask yourselves why.

Gor = Kenya Football and you all love it so stop pretending and dropping your veiled tribal insults.

See you next year for a repeat of the same thing.
