Hallo SK members,

Could you advise which bank/stock broker you have found to be efficient and effective in acting on instructions sent by email ?

Am asking about this because for a person who travels a lot e-mail seems the main link with their stock market dealer since there is no time to visit their offices to issue instructions not forgetting that time is of the essense when it come to volatile stocks/shares.

Blessed festive season !

Hello all?

My vote goes to Faida. Have used them for over three years now and no drama. You may try them out.

Did you say NIC capital?

Dyer and Blair,

I have used their online system for the last one year. Very efficient,i place the order myself into the system. I do not have to issue instructions and risk them not being carried out.

I also use D&B online system. Downside is that you cannot cancel your order and yu'll have to wait until expiry of the order. After expiry your funds are not credited back to your online account...... and u cant re-order online. Therafter you have to email.

Shukran SK friends for your valuable information.

@ Kirgit, after you e-mail them do they deposit the funds back in the account for use to buy other shares or what happens ? How long does this take them ?

@ Kirgit,@$billz,do you find their website reliable ? At time it does not work or have they improved of late ?

@ Johnah,where is Faida located ?

The funds will be in their system but not online. After emailing an order takes 1-3 days to conclude, depending on your terms and the market. Their new website is also very reliable and am able to log in online daily.

Head office: Windsor house 1st floor on university way- muindi mbingu street junction.

They also have a branch on fedha towers 7th floor on the same muindi mbingu street.

Faida investment bank also have branches in mombasa and in thika.

Hallo Skerians, hope 2009 is treating you well so far.

I do not mean to waste your time by bringing up this topic again.

I finally got my user name and password from D & B after waiting for almost a week.

Their home page opens well but when I try to login in the page turns out to be mteja ! Do you guys experience same/similar problem ?

I think its better to swtich my CDS account to a broker with a more reliable website otherwise cannot do stocks transaction from a distance..

Any other broker with a reliable website besides NIC Bank ? Just looking for more options/choices before I act...

Ahsanteni..

I agree with Johnha - Faida Stocks is good - once you have an account, you can track your statements online (www.faidastocks.com)and make buy/sell orders by email. I would recommend gibson@faidastocks.com (Gibson Wachaga).

No offence to our women folk, but pls no one settle for any women brokers there - from experience with two of them, they move slower than growing grass. I once lost abt Kshs 10 on many ARM shares in a day when they did not execute a sell order fast enough.

d & b are not bad...have dealt with them for sometime...

lately i am using aaks and i find them more friendly... for every activity you receive an alert.

@ kirgit,@ $billz

I have managed to login into my CSDC account through the D&B website and i see it has many of the goodies one would ask for ....menus/window for placing order, checking order status, viewing statement,CDS valuation,CDS holdings etc.

After expiry of the order for example for buying shares,do they credit your account with shares bought or you have to email for them to do that and also to credit the balance of funds back into account if any? Or do the funds float in their system only when you sell the shares where thereafter you have to e-mail for them to credit proceedings of sale into CDS account?

@ All SK friends,

Considering that share prices may fluctuate several times in a day, from your experiences what is the best pricing mode for buying and selling shares : best market price or by specifiying the price ?

Shukran......
