D21 Introducing brackets
Brackets can change the order in which we perform operations. Examine
the examples below and use your calculator to see if you can find the pattern.
Examples:
• 223 – (185 – 22) = 60 but 223 – 185 – 22 = 16
• 345 – (34 + 221) = 90 but 345 – 34 + 221 = 532Now solve 21-6+2 "Never regret, if its good, its wonderful. If its bad, its experience."
