Interesting, E.coli is an indicator of contamination by faecal matter. It is found in the alimentary canal. Its akin to the analogy, "where there is smoke, there is fire" the fire might not be big. Its the metals/pesticides that i'd be worried about.
In a past research, 1 in 6 mobile phones was found contaminated with feacal matter.

Toxic wastes, harmful heavy metals in polluted rivers...finding their way into the ecosystem and up through the food chain... absorbed through foods such as sukuma wiki...absorbed into our bodies...distorting growth of cells in human body...leading to cancer.
And that is one link between our foods and rising cases of cancer affecting eevn the low income as sukuma is a kawa food on all dinner tables.

then there is the other group of people who will try to open food packaged in polythene papers using their teeth. yet the person who tied the knot on the polythene bag may not have washed his hands. direct fecal-oral route. next is the roasted maize vendors... where do the go for their long calls and short calls?
